National Sports Law Institute Announces 35th Anniversary Annual Conference

The National Sports Law Institute of Marquette University Law School has announced that its annual fall conference, “Perspectives on 35 Years of Sports Law,” will he held on October 18, 2024. 

Foley & Lardner LLP and its Sports & Entertainment Group, the Law Office of Martin J. Greenberg LLC, and the Sports & Entertainment Law Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin wlll serve as sponsors of the event.

The program will feature presentations from sports law professors and scholars providing perspectives on the development of sports law and its impact on antitrust law, labor law, Olympic sports and arbitration, gambling, esports, disability and mental health, constitutional rights, gender equity, and race and representation.  The conference will also feature a report on teaching sports law at U.S. law schools, and a presentation on the creation of the National Sports Law Institute at Marquette University Law School.

The program will run from 9 am until @5:30 pm, in the Lubar Center on the first floor of Eckstein Hall, the home of Marquette University Law School.
