Stinson LLP has announced the hiring of Dwight Larson, who rejoins the firm as a partner focusing, to some degree, on sports construction matters. Larson has over three decades of experience helping clients adapt to changing business, government policy and legal landscapes. He frequently works with construction contractors on complex matters involving energy projects, large and highly-visible sports venues and large commercial projects, along with a broad range of public projects. Larson is well-versed in matters relating to the Inflation Reduction Act and helps clients both take advantage of the opportunities it presents and manage the risk of compliance with the associated prevailing wage, apprenticeship and domestic content requirements. He also handles work relating to government contracts for clients in the construction and energy industries. Most recently, Larson served as general counsel to Mortensen Construction, where he led the legal department and supported the company’s sports, wind, solar, government contracting and manufacturing businesses, among others, since 2004. He also served as senior counsel to Honeywell after serving as a construction associate at Leonard, Street and Deinard, a predecessor to the now Stinson LLP. Larson is a licensed professional engineer.
