The Entertainment Arts & Sports Law Section of the New York State Bar Association is hosting a sports law seminar of Thursday, September 19, entitled “If You Build It, They Will Come.”
The seminar, which will be held in the auditorium at Herrick Feinstein LLP at 2 Park Ave., will run from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The organizers describe the theme of the event this way:
“Sports and entertainment events are a large part of our culture and, the buildings that house those events, a large part of our landscape. On September 19th, EASL’s Membership Committee will be gathering a number of legal professionals to discuss the ins and outs of building and operating a sports and entertainment venue, including issues faced by the venue operator, the sponsor and the concessionaire as well as those relating to land use, construction, risk management and financing. Whether your practice focuses on sports and entertainment or on construction, risk management, municipal law or business operations, you will find the discussions lively and informative. “
