NSLI’s Emerging Legal Issues in Collegiate, International, and Professional Sports, and Esports Set for Oct. 12

The National Sports Law Institute of Marquette University Law School will host its annual conference, this year focusing on Emerging Legal Issues in Collegiate, International, and Professional Sports, and Esports, in the Lubar Center in Eckstein Hall, the home of Marquette University Law School, on Friday, October 12th. 
 
The conference will provide an overview on current, important legal issues impacting collegiate, international and professional sports, and Esports, followed by panel discussions from lawyers working in the industry discussing the true impact of these issues. During the conference luncheon, Attorney Jill Pilgrim will receive the National Sports Law Institute’s Joseph E. O’Neill Award for her significant contributions to the sports industry while exemplifying the highest ethical standards and provide a keynote address on athletes’ rights. Other speakers participating in the conference include: Brooke A. Beyer, Jr., Senior Assistant General Counsel — Sponsorship & Licensing, NASCAR, Inc.; Nona M. Lee, Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, Arizona Diamondbacks; Keith Miller, Associate Athletic Director – Compliance, Baylor University; Nyea Sturman, General Counsel, Orlando Magic; and James Sullivan, President, Poker Royalty, LLC, among many others.
