Court Declines to Reconsider University of Maryland’s Arguments in ADA Case

A federal judge denied an attempt by the University of Maryland (UMD) to have the dismissal of its motion for summary judgment reconsidered in a case involving the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the deaf or hard of hearing patrons that attend the school’s sporting events.   The underlying litigation centered on the claims of Dr. Joseph Innes, Daniel Rinas and Sean Markel, who are deaf. The men sued UMD, the Board of Regents, and an athletics administrator for alleged violations
