On May 4, 2021, 15-year-old Olivia Moultrie filed a complaint and motion for a temporary restraining order (TRO) and preliminary injunction against the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) from enforcing its age rule to prevent her from signing a professional contract with a club in the league.
