Silver Named Chair of the Maine’s Gambling Control Board

Steve Silver Maine Governor Janet Mills has named Ogletree Deakins attorney Steve Silver chair of the state’s Gambling Control Board. Following the Governor’s nomination, the Maine Senate voted unanimously to confirm Silver to the position. By statute, the five-member Board regulates and supervises the ownership and operations of Maine’s two casinos, oversees advance deposit wagering, reviews license applications, and conducts disciplinary hearings for licensees.
