New York Court Deals Blow to NCAA in Concussion Case

A New York state trial court has denied a motion to dismiss submitted by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in a case in which it was sued for negligence by a student-athlete, who suffered multiple concussions while participating in her sport.   Plaintiff Samantha Greiber was a lacrosse player at Hofstra University when she suffered her first injury on March 18, 2013.
