Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies will host the 5th Annual Sports Management Conference being held on October 10, 2024, announcing that NBA Commissioner Adam Silver will give the keynote address. Silver, who was appointed NBA Commissioner on Feb. 1, 2014, presides over a global sports and media organization built around five professional sports leagues: the NBA, WNBA, NBA G League, NBA 2K League and Basketball Africa League. “Under his leadership, the leagues are dedicated to growing basketball around the world, promoting health and fitness, and using the sport to bring people together,” wrote the organizers.
