Federal Judge Won’t Overturn Workers’ Compensation Decision Involving Concussed Player

The murky world of assessing the medical impact of a concussion or multiple concussions has been put on prime display in a case involving a former hockey player, who sought unsuccessfully to overturn the ruling of Workers' Compensation Office of Judges (WCOJ) in West Virginia.   While a federal judge affirmed the WCOJ ruling, finding no procedural error, the medical journey was illustrative of the split of opinion regarding what are the latent medical effects of a concussion.   Petitio
