Mintz Levin Adds Sports Lawyer to Litigation Practice

Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. has announced the hire of Anthony Mulrain, who represents a number of high profile athletes and entertainers in litigation and arbitration matters, as a Member in its New York office.
 
Mulrain joins Mintz Levin from Gordon & Rees, where he served as the founding and managing partner of the firm’s Atlanta office, and chair of its national Sports, Media & Entertainment Law Practice. He also was a member of the Commercial Litigation and Intellectual Property Practices. Earlier in his career, Mulrain was an associate at Mintz Levin.

Mulrain’s practice includes representing numerous NBA, NFL, and MLB players, including at least one overall number one draft pick in all three major team sports. He represents his clients in a range of legal and business matters, including NCAA regulatory compliance; business formation; endorsement contracts; entertainment project finance and production; intellectual property; and legal agreements regarding acting, producing, merchandizing, employment, athletics, advertising, marketing, motion pictures and endorsements. His litigation work is highly focused on such matters as commercial, first amendment, defamation, libel, slander, right to privacy and trademark infringement, among others.
