SRLA Gears Up for Annual Conference, this Time in Las Vegas

The Sports and Recreation Law Association will hold its 30th annual conference March 1-4 in Las Vegas.
 
The conference, which is a must-attend for those professors who teach sports law in sports management, kinesiology, and other non-law school colleges, gets underway Wednesday night with a “SRLA Welcome Bash” from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Yard House on the Las Vegas strip. Academic sessions begin on Thursday morning and continue through Saturday afternoon.

This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Nancy Lough.
 
Dr. Lough, who teaches at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, is a nationally recognized expert on sport marketing, corporate sponsorship, leadership development and creating gender parity within sport organizations. She specializes in research focused on gender equity including media representations of women athletes, women’s sport and marketing sport to women. She is the author of the Handbook of Sport Marketing Research with Dr. Bill Sutton and more than 50 scholarly publications.
