Global sports, music and entertainment company Wasserman has appointed Christa D’Alimonte as Chief Legal Officer.
Mike Pickles, Wasserman’s current Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel will be retiring from the company and will assist with D’Alimonte’s transition into the role through the end of the year.
Based in Wasserman’s New York office, D’Alimonte’s first day at the company will be October 14. In her role, she will lead Wasserman’s global legal team and will advise senior management on business and legal strategies, as well as regulatory compliance matters, ensuring that the legal team is evolving and innovating to support the needs of the business.
D’Alimonte joins Wasserman with more than 30 years of legal experience. She spent more than a decade at Paramount Global and its predecessor, Viacom, most recently as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. Prior to that, D’Alimonte spent nearly 20 years representing clients across media, entertainment and investment banking at the multinational law firm Shearman & Sterling, including as a partner in the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions group.

D’Alimonte has been recognized with a multitude of accolades throughout her legal career, including being named a leading lawyer by Chambers USA, Legal 500 and Cablefax; a ‘Top Female Dealmaker’ by Law 360; and one of The Hollywood Reporter’s ‘Top Dealmakers’ in 2020, among other honors. She is a graduate of Princeton University and Georgetown University Law Center.
