LPGA Announces Partnership with Ogletree Deakins

Mar 13, 2020

The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), the longest running professional women’s sports organization in the world, has announced a new partnership with Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms in North America. The partnership will focus on the LPGA’s Women’s Empowerment Day, which emphasizes leadership, self-discovery, and the art of communication, and Women’s Leadership Days, which foster and create business relationships by providing an exclusive and engaging forum for like-minded professional women.

“We are excited to partner with the LPGA,” said Matt Keen, Ogletree Deakins’ managing shareholder. “The partnership naturally aligns with the firm’s mission to provide opportunities for women to succeed in their careers and beyond. We are very excited to work with the LPGA to celebrate, empower, and support women.”

The LPGA “provides many diverse opportunities for women to be inspired and motivated through the game of golf and beyond. In 2020, there will be 18 Women’s Leadership Days hosted at LPGA events, while the LPGA Women’s Network is an online content platform and digital network, designed to encourage and connect women on and off the course.”

“This is a very fun and unique way to drive our women’s initiatives at the firm,” said Kerri Reisdorff, chair of Ogletree Deakins’ Women’s Initiative and a shareholder in the firm’s Kansas City office. “To partner with the LPGA on a multi-dimensional platform focused on leadership, professional development, and growth with a focus on the game of golf is an exciting opportunity for our firm.”
